Western Mustang Sports Hall of Fame

2021inductees

The Western Mustangs Sports Hall of Fame honours outstanding individual and team contributions to Western Mustang Athletics. Mustangs Sports Hall of Fame also recognizes enduring superior achievement with a Lifetime Achievement Award presented to those making outstanding contributions to Western Athletics, the community, and/or their profession. They are role models who set standards of excellence to which others can aspire.

The awards are presented by the Western Mustangs Athletic Alumni, formed in 2015 with the merging of the “W” Club and the Women's Athletic Alumnae (WAA). Previous inductees of the “W” Club Hall of Fame, the WAA Award and the Elfrida Berzins Awards are automatically inducted to the Western Mustangs Sports Hall of Fame.

Traditionally Inductees are recognized at the Western Mustangs Sports Hall of Fame Dinner, held of the Friday evening of Homecoming Weekend.  The presentation is usually held on campus, in person at the Great Hall and is one of Homecoming’s Marquee Events.

Due to COVID-19 Western Mustangs Athletic Alumni (WMAA) officially announced Western Mustangs Sports Hall of Fame Inductees at the 2020 Virtual Homecoming Event and will present the individual awards at the next Mustangs Sports Hall of Fame event in collaboration with Mustangs Athletics and Alumni Relations in person at an event being held on Friday, November 19, 2021, location to be confirmed soon, so check back regularly to learn more. *Event will follow all guidelines as per provincial regulations.*

Please consider a nomination for the: Lifetime AchievementIndividual or Team category in 2022.
