Get Involved with the WMAA!

There are opportunities to get involved as a board member or on a committee with the WMAA.  We are looking for former Western Mustangs athletes who would like to make a difference to the experience of Western Athletic Alumni and Western athletes.  Have you been involved with boards and/or committees of other organizations; are you passionate about athletics at Western; do you want to enhance the experience of Western athletic alumni and Western athletes?  If yes, we want you!  

The term of office for the board is 2 years beginning in September 2021.  It is expected that WMAA board members will attend the approximately five (5) board meetings per year, as well as participate in one or more of the board’s committees either as a committee member or committee chair.  Board attendance can be virtual which permits participation from anywhere in the world.  Committees include:

1)    Nomination

2)    Governance

3)    Finance

4)    Grants

5)    Executive

6)    Events

7)    Hall of Fame Selection

8)    Metras Museum

In addition to board positions, there are opportunities on committees where the expectations vary with the committee.
