Cohon carries Olympic torch in Russia

The Olympic torch has been all the way to outer space and plunged into the deepest freshwater lake on the planet. Now, halfway through its 123-day relay, a Canadian has brought it back to the Siberian city where it was made.
Craig Cohon, BA'85, a businessman who brought Coca-Cola and Cirque de Soleil to Russia, ran the torch into Krasnoyarsk, Russia’s Siberian regional capital on Tuesday.
“It was magical,” Cohon said in a phone call afterwards. “Carrying the Olympic torch is an honour but being a Canadian and carrying the Olympic torch in Russia is even more of an honour.”
