You may not realize it right now, but just like Fred VanVleet, you are betting on yourself with your education! In case you do not follow the NBA closely, Fred VanVleet is a basketball player who recently re-signed with the Toronto Raptors for an $85M USD contract for the next four years (the richest contract in NBA history for an un-drafted player). Not being drafted is analogous to no one believing in you. Going to university/college is one of the hardest things for individuals to persevere through. Why? You don't get paid to go to school. You put in the hard work, often seen by no one other than yourself, with the belief that your hard work will one day pay off, just like it did for Fred VanVleet.
