Giving to Western Giving to Western Western University

TO: Western Student

I remember feelings of uncertainty, both in my undergraduate years and Ivey years. It may be impossible to see the magical possibilities now, but a curious outlook will always serve you well. Try to avoid the adverse feelings of intense competition. You may be better off charting out and running your own race, driven by what you love. Don't be afraid to take risks; the real learning comes from mistakes. The interests in technology, geography, and social enterprise took me and my family to one of the remotest islands in the world at a unique time in its history, to support the development of major changes. I am grateful my experiences at Western have prepared me well for the path leading up to this experience.
