Giving to Western Giving to Western Western University

TO: Western Student

Try not to care about the marks. This is your undergrad: your alma mater. The time in your lives you'll look back on and thank yourself for giving yourself a right of passage to do fun stuff, mess up, make forever friends and say goodbye to old ones. Lastly, get a degree. I failed, took a year off because I wanted to have FUN. I did all of those things and went on to be a successful mentor as a High School Teacher in History and Business and now a Civil Litigator in the Supreme Court with honours from law school. I've lived abroad for over a decade and gained a new citizenship. So write the exams, do those long hours, but also remember... it doesn't make or break you. Life gets better.
