Giving to Western Giving to Western Western University

TO: Western Student

My years at Western flew by and at the time I didn't recognize just how important they were in forming who I am as a person. I do have many friendships still from my university years because we were able to connect at The Ontario Music Educators' Conference over the last 40 years. What we all say is, as music students there were a lot of pressures, we are all perfectionists and sometimes the stress levels were overwhelming. We held each other up and worked hard, but also played hard. Most importantly we did not give up on ourselves or each other! My advice - be there for your friends - celebrate the smallest accomplishments and remember you have a lifetime to solidify what you are learning at Western! Exams are the end of a chapter leading to a new beginning. Good Luck!
