Top title a first in Canadian newspapers

For the first time in history, a woman will hold the top editorial position at a national Canadian newspaper.

Anne Marie Owens, BA'86 (English/History, King's), MA'88 (Journalism), has been appointed as editor of the National Post newspaper.

Owens will return to the newspaper from her role as deputy editor at Maclean’s magazine. She begins the new role June 9.
