Dementia: Keeping the Conversation Going
Conversations are central to family and social relationships. They allow us to communicate information to others, but also to communicate who we are and what is important to us. Dementia and other neurodegenerative brain diseases can disrupt our ability to connect with others through conversation.
In this talk, you will learn more about dementia and how it impacts communication. We will also discuss strategies and tools for improving conversation and social engagement for families living with dementia. Presenter: Angela Roberts, Assistant Professor of Communication Sciences and Disorders and Computer Science, Western University.
