Western is represented through its charitable Foundation, The University of Western Ontario (Hong Kong) Foundation Limited.

 The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors, and the University’s President and Vice-President (External Relations) and seeks to:

• Support the educational works of the University;
• Receive and maintain a fund or funds and to apply all or part for charitable purposes of an educational nature;
• Provide scholarships, fellowships and bursaries for the purposes of study and education;
• Raise funds for all capital projects, educational programs, teaching and research and for the financial assistance of students wishing to attend Western;
• Provide support to educational programs in order to increase knowledge through instruction, research and publication;
• Develop and promote and to assist others in the development and promotion of curricula, publications, research and other forms or instructional and education materials for the advancement of education.
