Western is privileged to have a passionate and committed alumni base with over 372,000+ alumni in 160 countries around the world. As part of Western’s strategic priorities, the Hong Kong Advisory Council of Western University convenes volunteers to strengthen our global engagement and impact in Hong Kong.

According to Western’s Global Engagement Plan, four key themes will anchor our international engagement work:

• Expand Western’s global range
• Champion global citizenship
• Amplify Western’s global research impact
• Enable Western’s capacity for global success

Council members are part of a long and distinguished tradition of volunteer involvement in Hong Kong with contributions grounded in members experiences as leaders across sectors. Council members are committed to building community among alumni as volunteers, advocates and philanthropic leaders in support of the University’s strategic vision.

Priorities:

• Strengthen alumni engagement and networks in Hong Kong on behalf of the University.
• Support student engagement in the areas of student mobility and recruitment.
• Amplify Western’s impact with wider networks to increase international presence and reputation.
• Contribute and connect others at a level of personal comfort; help identify and engage alumni and donors.
