Unspoiled Antarctica, with South Georgia
Join fellow Canadian alumni travellers to explore the astonishingly abundant wildlife of South Georgia Island, “Serengeti of the Southern Ocean.” It’s a dream destination for many travellers and a highlight of this Antarctic adventure.
From Santiago, Chile, fly to the Falklands Islands for several days of exploring before embarking on an expedition vessel and heading to South Georgia Island.
Spend four days among gargantuan elephant seals, an active colony of courting albatrosses, and hundreds of thousands of King Penguins. Then move on to the Antarctic Peninsula, where spring means everything will be pristine and white. In addition to penguins, seals and other wildlife, expect to see whales, glaciers, icebergs, mountains, and the rest of what makes Antarctica so amazing.
*Note* This trip begins on October 28 in Santiago, Chile. You will need to fly from Canada on October 27.
