Connie Walker to receive honorary degree
Wednesday, June 11, is FIMS Convocation day, so we welcome all the new graduates who are joining the FIMS alumni community. Congratulations on your achievement! This year, FIMS' honorary degree recipient is Connie Walker, award-winning Cree journalist from the Okanese First Nation in Saskatchewan. You can watch Connie be hooded and receive her degree on Western's livestream of the ceremony, set for 3pm on June 11.

Saying farewell: 2025 full-time faculty retirements
The FIMS community is saying goodbye to three long-time faculty members this month. Associate Professors Grant Campbell (with FIMS since 1998) and James Compton (with FIMS since 2002), and Professor Nick Dyer-Witheford (with FIMS since 1997) will all retire from FIMS on June 30, 2025.
