Dear alumni and friends,
The holiday season is finally here! For many of us, this month will mean wrapping up lessons and classes as we get ready for a well-deserved winter break. Over the next few weeks, I hope you'll take time to recognize and reflect on all your achievements over the past year.
In October, we welcomed even more graduates to our Western Education alumni family. You can see a few of our newest Doctor of Education graduates in the photo above, right on top of our holiday card. Congratulations to all who crossed the stage at Alumni Hall during Autumn Convocation.
Across the world, there are more than 42,000 Western Education alumni who are working to transform education and transform lives. I want to personally thank each and every one of you for all that you do.
On behalf of the Faculty of Education, I am wishing a joyous holiday season to you and your loved ones.
Sincerely,
Donna Kotsopoulos, PhD Dean & Professor Faculty of Education

Transformative growth and lifelong learning
In this entry to our Transforming Education, Transforming Lives story series, we catch up with Dr. Ranabelle Stroh, EdD'23, who is pictured above alongside her late mother.
"Education is all-encompassing. That’s one of the reasons I went into education in the first place, along with me wanting to emulate my own mother’s perseverance for my daughter,” Stroh said.
“Transforming Lives and Transforming Education really speaks to me because I want to be someone in education who advocates for transformational growth.”
