Jill Price, BFA’95

has her exhibit From There to Here: Walking for Tomorrow at the Maclaren Art Centre until October 26, 2025. This work is an ecological, material response to mass consumerism and litter affecting bodies of land and water.

Peter Cavell, BMus’04

with Megan Phillips, BMus’05, wrote the cult musical comedy People Suck, which returns to the Toronto stage July 2-13, 2025 after two acclaimed productions in Australia. The play is directed by Jessica Sherman, BMus’02.

Wynn Walters, BA’59

was awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal recognizing many years of community involvement in the arts and in conservation issues in Uxbridge, ON. Wynn was cartoonist for the Western Gazette in the 1950’s.

TonyVo, BEd’20

released a self-published coffee table photography book Memory Lane, to celebrate his 25th immigration anniversary. The book consists of over 50 Canadian photographs taken by Tony throughout the last 10 years of his life, including his time at Western.

was honoured with Signature Status in 2024 from the Portrait Society of America.

Ajani Charles, BA’08

has his second Project T-Dot art exhibit at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport until January 2025. It showcases his 18-year documentary project on Toronto’s hip-hop legacy and is Canada’s largest exhibit on hip-hop culture.

Alan Campbell, BA’74

was nominated as a Heritage Champion in June 2024 as part of the celebration of the 175th anniversary of the creation of Lambton County, Ontario.

Jamie Hillman, BMus’05

was awarded the University of Toronto Faculty of Music’s Teaching Award. The award recognizes excellence, commitment and innovation in teaching, as well as the recipient’s role in enhancing the student experience.

Wynn Walters, BA’59

became a sculptor after almost 30 years in the telecommunications industry. His sculpture of Terry Fox was installed at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto.
